I am a pastor's wife, too, and I really get a lot of encouragement from your blog. I know all to well how hard it is to not have family to share in the duties, even if it was even just once in a blue moon! I am nearing my third trimester and feel way more tired that I feel like I should. Add to that three stir crazy kids (6, 4, and 2) and some days are LONG. I am slowly learning to cut myself some slack and do whatever little things I can to improve morale for all of us...no easy task. :) I hope things get a little easier for you. I will keep you in my prayers! Our little family is...I hear ya on this post Mandi. Our little family is in an odd state of flux/transition as well. We bought a new house last spring and my husband has been working on it ever since. We've been living with my parents since June so as to avoid paying rent and a mortgage. We have two rooms in my parents house, and I confess that our one room is a complete disaster of random baby items no longer needed, and clothes that Avi has outgrown, some of which I need to give away and some I need to get into storage. I am entirely too embarassed to admit how long it's been since I vacuumed said room. :-P

Anyway, my point here is not to complain, but just to let you know you are not alone in your feelings. This winter feels as though it is dragging on forever, and quite frankly, I miss the sun!

Also, yes, I think the cost of diapers DID go up, at least the name brand ones. I was a Pampers snob for Avi's first year, but then they started offering less diapers for the same price in every case, and I was done after that. Not sure if you have Sam's Club out there, but I love their Simply Right diapers. They are softer than most generic diapers and hold our girl for 12-14 hours pretty much every night with a few exceptions. Their wipes are awesome too. I know you can order their stuff online. The one time I did choose that option, the diapers were on my doorstep within two days. Unfortunately the Sam's diapers do no start until size 3. :-/ Target diapers never worked for us, Av peed through them frequently. I know they are inexpensive as well.

I will be praying for you. I am spoiled to have lots of family near by which is a huge blessing. Praying you will feel assured that you are doing a great job and making progress with Ava, and that you all will be able to get outside and enjoy some sunshine very, very soon. Oh and that you will get good rest and be able to have abundant energy for all you need to accomplish each day. :-) Melody Joy Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04430660717369549404noreply@blogger.com
